Recently, we completed a facility revamp for a client who needed to convert their gym space into a clear-span basketball court. The scope involved removing three interior columns with supporting posts that carried the roof structure, as well as replacing existing wood beams with new steel trusses.

Following detailed planning and design assistance from our engineer, we developed a structural support solution to carry the roof load while the existing wood beams were safely separated from the building structure. Our team then rigged and removed the beams from the facility, working carefully around the temporary shoring system.

Once demolition was complete, the structural steel crew mobilized the new steel trusses, which were hoisted into position and secured within the ceiling space.

The project was successfully delivered through close coordination between multiple disciplines, ensuring the schedule and phased construction requirements were met without disruption.
